Capsule “g” • Treatment and Dyeing Process for Xacus Garments
How was it born?
At the heart of contemporary sartorial evolution, Xacus has been redefining the very concept of the shirt since 1956. Structure, design, and materiality merge into a textile narrative that spans eras and contexts, while remaining rooted in a deeply modern and urban vision. Xacus was seeking a solution for its garments that would combine aesthetics, performance, and environmental sustainability. How could “g upgraded recycled graphite” be used to achieve this? We started with g_pwdr® technology, a fabric and paper treatment and dyeing process that uses the ingredient in an aqueous suspension. Through meticulous fine-tuning—resulting from an extensive research and development process—we succeeded in creating a dye suitable for enhancing the characteristics of the natural fibers (cotton poplin and linen) chosen by Xacus for this innovative capsule collection, presented at Pitti 2025.

Noble fibers and material fusions convey a textile vision that pays tribute to the ennoblement of matter.
The g_pwdr® technology treatment by Alisea, applied to Xacus garments, provides:
Inimitable Shades of Grey:
The lamellar structure of graphite gives rise to unique tones and an iridescent luminosity.
Exceptional Softness:
Enhances hand feel and softness, thanks to the lubricating properties of graphite.
UV Protection:
The reflective properties of graphite increase protection to a factor of over 50.
Thermal Regulation:
Promotes more even heat distribution for consistent and balanced comfort.
Dermatologically Tested Safety:
Gentle on sensitive skin, ensuring both comfort and protection.
Sustainability:
Reduces waste, upcycles discarded materials, and minimizes environmental impact.
Going beyond the limits to discover solutions that didn’t exist before
Enhance the performance of products and processes by preventing the disposal of tons of graphite.
“g upgraded recycled graphite” is the key ingredient to innovate.
